Electricity Savings

We’re giving customers credit for committing to clean energy.

Delivered as a credit on customer bills, rebates are the method by which MBCP provided cost savings to our customers in 2018 and 2019. 

 

Moving forward beginning in January 2020, MBCP will provide direct monthly savings through lower rates so customers realize their savings monthly.

 

Whether you are a small business, a resident, or an industry leader, customer savings is just one of the ways that MBCP adds value to your electricity service.

Residential customers

2018 and 2019: Rebates are delivered as a credit on December or January bills

2020: Savings is realized monthly through a lower electric generation rate than PG&E

Non-residential customers

2018 and 2019: Rebates were delivered biannually or quarterly, depending on energy usage:

 

Small-to-medium energy consumers received rebates biannually in June and December

Larger businesses received rebates quarterly in March, June, September and December

 

2020: Savings is realized monthly through a lower electric generation rate than PG&E. Click here to view current MBCP rates.
